Barnie Calef – 3x World Duck Calling Champion
Barnie Calef shot his first duck at the age of 16 and was instantly hooked. In Barnie’s words “the sights, smells and sounds just absolutely amazed me”. Since that day Barnie has arguably become one of the best duck callers the sport has ever seen. Barnie won 13 state and regional contests and in 1989 he won his first of three World Championships. It would be 10 years before he would win his second World title and in 2000 when Barnie walked off the stage, he had his third World Championship forcing him into automatic retirement. He also won the coveted Ks Traditional, an invitational only contest which consisted of several World Champions. Barnie has been filming DVDs and hosting TV shows for the past 21 years and travels the county selling his line of calls and conducting seminars with his entertaining style and humor.
