About the Waterfowl Hunters Expo
In 2019, a small group of passionate Wisconsin waterfowl hunters came together with a shared vision: to transform the Wisconsin Waterfowl Hunters Conference into a more dynamic, engaging event that could reach a broader audience of waterfowlers across Wisconsin and the Midwest. Their goal was to celebrate and preserve the rich waterfowling heritage they cherished, while raising awareness around the protection of wildlife and habitat essential to sustaining the future of the sport.
Since 2002, the original conference had been designed by a committee of independent waterfowl hunters dedicated to preserving and enhancing waterfowl hunting and its traditions. The event was supported by individuals, conservation organizations, businesses, and government agencies, all working together to safeguard the heritage of waterfowling.
In 2020, the event was renamed the Waterfowl Hunters Expo (WHE) to better reflect its expanded scope of activities, education, and experiences. While the name evolved, the mission remained the same: to serve as a conduit for communication, education, and engagement between the waterfowl hunting community and those responsible for managing and regulating waterfowl resources.
Today, the Waterfowl Hunters Expo brings together enthusiasts to celebrate the sport, share knowledge, and connect directly with conservation leaders, brands, and fellow hunters. We are committed to strengthening community, advancing education, and supporting conservation efforts within the waterfowling world.
The WHE is a truly one-of-a-kind event—designed by waterfowlers, for waterfowlers. The Expo features a wide range of seminars, demonstrations, contests, and interactive activities. From seasoned hunters to first-time attendees, from youth to adults, men and women alike, every visitor will find something to enjoy, learn from, and experience together.
Waterfowlers, we look forward to seeing you on August 21st & 22nd, 2026.
