Student Amateur Zone – Show Off Your Skills!

Are you a teen who lives for the hunt? Whether you’re just getting started or already a seasoned pro, the Waterfowl Hunters Expo is your chance to step up and show what you’ve got!

Grab your hunting buddy, your favorite duck gun, your sharpest calls—and get ready for three action-packed events designed to test your skills and fire up your competitive spirit:

Hunt-n-Cover Challenge – Team up and put your instincts to the test
Team Calling Exposition – 30 seconds to impress using any call
The Grand Kahoot – A fast-paced quiz to flex your waterfowl knowledge

No pressure, all fun—these informal competitions are built for laughs, learning, and some serious bragging rights. Oh, and did we mention the awesome prizes? You could win guided hunts, fishing trips, premium duck calls from JT Calls and Last Flight Calls, and Fleet Farm gift cards.

Shooting Event

Come out and get involved with the Shooting Zone at the Waterfowl Hunters Expo develop respect for firearms safety and precision.

The Wisconsin State High School Clay Target League and local clubs or just walk in. Come out and join the teens competitive and recreational 5-Stand Shooting and Open 2 team Hunt and Cover event.  Open to teens from 14-18.

Art Zone – Decoy Painting

Children engaging in the Art Zone at the Waterfowl Hunters Expo cultivate creativity, learning about waterfowl through artistic expression. It fosters appreciation for nature while nurturing an understanding of wildlife and their habitats.

Decoy painting starting at 10am.  Come paint a decoy with a artist. 25 available – on a first come basis.

Duck Nest Box Assembly

Building Wood Duck nesting boxes with children provides valuable lessons in wildlife conservation, fostering empathy and responsibility towards nature. This hands-on experience fosters environmental awareness and a deeper connection to the natural world.

Participant’s will assemble duck nesting boxes and learn how the ducks use them through the nesting process.

Waterfowl FUN FACTS questions and answer station. A waterfowl ID/biology challenge for Parent vs  Teenagers Saturday @ 11:30. Kahoot activity – 9:30, 10:30, 11:30, and 12:30. Grand Kahoot @ 3:00pm

Pellet Gun Shooting

Youths participating in the Pellet Shooting Zone at the Waterfowl Hunters Expo learn fundamental marksmanship skills in a safe and controlled setting. It promotes firearm safety awareness and respect for hunting traditions

Archery Shooting

Engaging in the Archery Zone at the Waterfowl Hunters Expo, youths can hone there focus, coordination, and respect for nature. It instills discipline and appreciation for traditional hunting methods in a safe, supervised environment.

Kids will have the chance to learn the basics of archery shooting. A range is set up for the activity.

Decoy Demonstrations

Decoy Demonstrations

Duck King Decoys will provide a demo Saturday August 23rd. 10:30 and 12:30

Engaging in duck decoy demonstrations at the Waterfowl Hunters Expo, children learn about decoy placement and the art of attracting waterfowl. It fosters an understanding of hunting techniques and wildlife behavior.

Young people will have the chance to actively help in working a decoy/blind spread with some ProStaff members.

Come out and participate in our For Fun Duck and Goose Calling Contest. This is a great way to get introduced to the Calling Sport or Waterfowling. This is FOR FUN competition that every youngster can join. Stop by all day Saturday.
